Dog Sitting
Yes! We offer both overnight stays and drop-in visits, customized to your dog’s routine and comfort level.
Each visit includes:

Barn & Livestock Care
We provide experienced care including:
• Feeding and watering

• Turnout and bring-in

• Wellness checksYes—being prepared helps us give your animals the best care possible. Before your first service, please make sure the following are ready:
• All required forms are completed, including:
• Emergency contact information
• Veterinary contact and medical details
• The “All About My Pet” section (behavior, routines, triggers, etc.)
• A clear, written feeding schedule
• Labeled food, medications, and supplies
• Detailed care instructions (feeding, turnout, cleaning, etc.)
• Access information for barns, gates, doors, or alarms

Booking, Policies & Weather
You can call, text, or email to schedule a visit. We recommend booking early, especially around holidays and weekends.
Yes! You’ll receive daily text/photo updates (and videos when possible) so you can relax knowing your animals are happy and cared for.
Yes. Virginia’s Haven is fully insured for your peace of mind.
We’ll contact you immediately if your animal appears ill or injured. If we can't reach you and the situation is urgent, we’ll take your pet to your preferred vet (if provided) or the nearest clinic.
All emergency veterinary costs are the responsibility of the pet owner.No problem—we’ve got it covered. If your return is delayed, we’ll continue caring for your animals until you're home. Just keep us informed.
Additional charges will apply for any extended care.You must cancel at least 6 hours before your scheduled service to avoid a fee.
Cancellations made with less than 6 hours' notice will be charged the full service amount.Animal safety comes first. During severe weather—such as snow, storms, or extreme heat—we may adjust or reschedule services.
We do not walk dogs or cats outdoors when temperatures reach 87°F or higher, as hot pavement can burn sensitive paws.
Instead, we provide indoor enrichment, shaded potty breaks, and lots of love.Yes, holiday surcharges apply for services on:
• New Year’s Eve & Day
• Easter
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve & Day
Holiday pricing will be discussed at the time of booking.
