About Virginia’s Haven
Every animal deserves to feel safe, seen, and loved — even when you can’t be there.
At Virginia’s Haven, that belief is the heart of everything we do.

Our Story
Hello! I’m Virginia — the hands, heart, and voice behind Virginia’s Haven.
Although I didn’t plan to start a pet and farm sitting business, this path found me in the best way. I’ve always felt deeply connected to animals, and over the past 15+ years, I’ve worked in veterinary offices, on farms, and in private homes—gaining hands-on experience with a wide range of animal personalities, health conditions, and needs.
Virginia’s Haven was born from something close to my heart: the need to create safe, peaceful, and respectful spaces for animals when their people can’t be there. That includes animals who are shy, sensitive, reactive, or simply misunderstood. Whether it’s a dog who needs a little extra space on a walk, a barn cat who only comes out when it’s quiet, or an aging goat who needs a slower pace—I’m here to meet them where they are.
What started as helping friends and neighbors has grown into a trusted, local service offering reliable, compassionate, and personalized care for pets and barn animals right where they feel safest and happiest: at home. I believe in building trust with each animal on their terms, honoring their routines, and showing up with steady, thoughtful presence. Whether I’m providing daily walks, post-surgery care, feeding farm animals, or offering end-of-life companionship, I bring patience, understanding, and love to every visit. This work brings me joy—and it’s a privilege to be part of your animal’s world.
